Creative Spotlight: Emberos

October 28, 2010

Creative Spotlights are part of the THS dedication to Handmade Christmas 2010. I’m bringing you the goods, showing off the talents of some of my favorite creators!  Just a reminder, there are several different ways to participate, and several different reasons why you should consider joining us for Handmade Christmas 2010.

Sometimes, you find an artist who understands you on a level that is left unattainable to most.  Sometimes, while viewing their artwork, your heart skips a beat as you know you have found a one in a million talent that so embodies your heart and soul and very being.  Sometimes, the pieces speak to you in a way you’ve never experienced before.  And, sometimes, you literally laugh out loud because this girl knows punny.

Emberos is a brilliant line of greeting cards by the fantastic Em, whose favorite materials to use while creating are simple: spunk & love.

The designs are crisp, the colors bright and bold, and the humor cheeky; with room to include your own personal message – no matter how formal the apology or casual the greeting.

Food humor and gorgeous design?  Yes, please.  There’s more where that came from:

Gotta love a girl who says things like this: “I carry my life’s experiences in my heart and fingertips, allowing
them to filter into my work.”  You can learn more about Em, and see more of her work at her website.  You can pick up a set of your own favorite cards at the emberos etsy shop.

Special Treat: Em is offering 10 % off plus a mystery holiday card with purchase to all THS readers!  Just enter the special code “thenheathersaid10” in the notes to seller section at checkout.
