Creative Spotlight: Wooden Hive

October 7, 2010

Creative Spotlights are part of the THS dedication to Handmade Christmas 2010. I’m bringing you the goods, showing off the talents of some of my favorite creators!  Just a reminder, there are several different ways to participate, and several different reasons why you should consider joining us for Handmade Christmas 2010.

headerI first came across Wooden Hive’s etsy shop when looking for gifts for gardeners.  I instantly fell for these vintage garden markers.    il_fullxfull.141989905

I love the idea of upcycling hardware, such as old silverware and serving utensils for an item that is often disposable, such as garden markers!

And how cute would these herb markers be in a kitchen windowsill garden?

Wooden Hive has a bunch of other fun items for sale as well!

I know quite a few bloggers would need a spoon just for their ice cream, they love it so much.

You can also find gardener’s hand scrub and lavender bath salts for some pampering.

Specialized Bride & Groom forks for first bites of cake, or a special ‘just married’ cake server would make a great gift for a newly engaged couple or a pre-wedding gift!

SPECIAL TREAT: For the month of October, THS readers can receive free shipping on their order at Wooden Hive by using the coupon code "THSfreeshipping" in the notes to seller section.

Wow, these would make great gifts for so many people I know (including myself). I might just order some for our family gift exchanged. . . and my mom. . . and my best friend. . . and for the husband to put in my stocking.

Any chance they’d do an oatmeal spoon?
