Creative Spotlight: Box64Studios

August 26, 2010

This post is a creative spotlight in celebration of Handmade Christmas 2010. I really encourage you to join me in a quest to bring more handmade gifts under the tree this year! You don’t need to commit to 100% handmade; there are several different ways to participate, and several different reasons why you should consider joining us for Handmade Christmas 2010.

This week’s creative spotlight is on the ultra-talented Box64 Studios! The brilliant creativity behind Box64 is known for having a love of “making things look like they should look; like they deserve to look.” I can’t think of a better piece of work than something that looks like it DESERVES to look.

I am fairly obsessed with the cleverness behind these up-cycled journals. I love how there is more than just blank paper inside!

“Getting handmade gifts speak much more to my heart, I think it is because they require more sacrifice, either of time, energy and thought to make them, or searching out that unique piece that made by someone else.” –Kelly, Box64 Studios

Kelly, the artist behind Box64 Studio, says that she’s always loved making paper collages; especially taking a liking to handmade papers from India, Thailand, Japan and Italy.

In Box64 products you can expect great pricing on very unique pieces, excellent craft through to the last details, and a timely positive experience.

These clipboards come in a whole bunch of great designs! I kind of would like one of each, please?

Heather I think you are stalking my college memories. One of my great friends made paper books that I wish I had one of but she was busy finishing her finals (art major) and I never got one. You fuel my Etsy addiction and my wallet is hurting 😉

I think handmade gifts and cards are a great idea, but I have a serious lack of creative talent so I’m not sure my friends and family would be too impressed!
